On Petrol vehicles we normally have 2 kinds of conversions, namely Stage 1 and Stage 2. On some of the newer vehicles we only do a Stage 1 as it is more cost effective and better value for money to the customer. We get excellent results on some of our Stage 1’s!!! With the drivability of the vehicle becoming substantially better, this result being due to the intelligent Unichip we use.
There is a lot of vehicles where we still do the Stage 2 conversions, which works very well and increases the acceleration of the vehicle with a healthy bit!!! The thing you have to remember about the Stage 2, is in order for us to gain even more power (kW) at higher RPM, you sometimes have to sacrifice a little bit of power at lower RPM, which in effect affects the drivability of the vehicle. Keeping in mind that most of the vehicles are still everyday road cars, we don’t go too wild with the cams and compression ratio. So we find “the best of both worlds”. In some cases we get away with gaining a lot of power at higher RPM without losing ANY at lower RPM… Depending on the vehicle.

- Gasflow cylinder head/s.
- Re-profile camshaft/s.
- Unichip-Q. (Supply, fit and map)
- Costs of Stage 2’s are from R 10 800. (Depending on your vehicle)
- 4 Working days. (with appointment)

We always think of increasing the power of the vehicle to gain speed, rarely do we consider the importance of faster and safer braking.
