NOTE: The above fuel consumption figures are overall consumption, the average of all different driving styles. The fuel consumption figures are totally dependent on how the vehicle is driven. It is an estimate so one can see the kind of difference a Uni Q makes. These are just some examples, we can do most makes and models. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Let’s use the following vehicle as an example for the different map sets selection.

Toyota Corolla 160i GLE 16v. (4A-FE engine).

Main Map Set:

In the main map set we have general tuning with the vehicle as light as possible on fuel when driving with a light right foot, and as fast as possible when driving with a heavy right foot. (This is the default map set).

Map Set 2:

In map set 2 we keep the main map set values so that we don’t influence the power or economy. We just add a ground speed limiter (road speed) at 120 km/h, regardless of which gear you are in or speed (RPM) the engine is running at. The vehicle cannot go faster than 120 km/h. (Activate map set 2 if someone is going on holiday with your car…etc.)

Map Set 3:

Map set 3 is the same as map set 2, only the ground speed limit is at 60 km/h. The vehicle cannot go faster than 60 km/h. (Activate map set 3 if your son is borrowing your car to go visit his girlfriend…etc.)

Map Set 4:

In map set 4 we also use the main map set as base map. Here we limit the speed of the engine, regardless of which gear you are in or what ground speed the vehicle is driven at, the engine cannot go over 2700 RPM. (Activate map set 4 if someone irresponsible is driving the vehicle…etc)

Map Set 5:

In map set 5 the vehicle is immobilized. The engine cannot start without first selecting a different map set. This is a very good immobilizer! (Activate map set 5 if you are leaving your vehicle somewhere…etc)

All the above map sets can be selected via your mobile phone, windows mobile device or a rotary switch. This is just an example of what the map set options can do, each map set is fully programmable on its own, to satisfy your needs. You can add any of the Uni Q functions on any of the map sets.

Here are some more examples:

Nissan Primera 200i STI 16v turbo. (SR20DE engine)

Main Map Set:

In the main map set we have the general tuning with 60 kpa (Kilo Pascal) of boost for everyday use, with normal 93 octane pump fuel. Power is at +- 95 – 100 kW at the wheels. Here we get similar fuel consumption to a standard vehicle when using vehicle under normal circumstances.

Map Set 2:

Map set 2 we have the vehicle boosting 100 kpa (1 Bar), running with 95 octane pump fuel. Power is at +- 135 – 145 kW at the wheels. The fuel consumption is now sitting at the back of your mind, you’re not worrying to much about that now.

Map Set 3:

Map set 3 we have the vehicle boosting 120 kpa (1.2 Bar), running with 98 octane fuel or higher (preferably racing fuel). Power is at +- 160 – 165 kW at the wheels. You have now completely forgotten about fuel consumption, you just want to win the race.

Map Set 4:

This is the same as map set 3, but we added launch control and water injection. You have slightly more power and you can pull away with boost.

Map Set 5:

We left this map open for future use.

Toyota Fortuner/Hilux 3.0 D4D 4x4. (1KD-FTV engine)

Main Map Set:

In the main map set we have general tuning with standard boost. The vehicle now produces 140 kW on the engine, standard is 120 kW. The fuel consumption goes from 10.6 litres/100km (standard) to 9.5 litres/100km driving in the city and as low as 8.7 litres/100km driving on open roads. The fuel consumption figures are applicable under normal driving conditions.

Map Set 2:

Map set 2 the boost is raised slightly, vehicle producing 154 kW on the engine. Fuel consumption remains between 8.7 and 9.5 litres/100km under normal driving conditions.

Map Set 3:

In map set 3 the values in the Uni Q are all zero, so the vehicle is perfectly standard producing 120 kW. Select this map set to feel the power difference between standard and after the Uni Q, and also to see what kind of difference there is in fuel consumption…

Map Set 4-5:

Map set 4 and 5 was left open.

All the above map sets can be selected via your mobile phone, windows mobile device or a rotary switch. This is just an example of what the map set options can do, each map set is fully programmable on its own, to satisfy your needs. You can add any of the Uni Q functions on any of the map sets.

dyna Considering the fact that vehicles are mass produced, manufacturer's specified settings are general guidelines and does not consider each engines individual characteristics.  Dyna-tuning is the process whereby the engine settings are adjusted (tuned) while continuously monitoring the performance during the adjustment, in order to obtain the position of optimum performance.  Dyna-tuning optimizes your engines operating parameters, ensuring optimum performance and efficiency. ..

sam-3 We always think of increasing the power of the vehicle to gain speed, rarely do we consider the importance of faster and safer braking. This is a very important factor as the standard braking systems on many vehicles is not effective enough with the standard vehicle’s performance. Fitting larger discs and callipers is a very expensive process. We have put together quite an affordable package which is very popular. Using the same (standard) callipers, we replace the discs and pads with performance parts that can handle higher temperatures...

We do exhaust systems on all makes and models. You can choose between a mild steel or a stainless steel exhaust. The stainless steel exhaust comes with a 5 year warrantee.

We also do cat removals. On newer level cars it is sometimes necessary to fit a Unichip together with the cat removal as the computer can sense if the cats are blocked or open (not there anymore). ..

Petrol Vehicles: On Petrol vehicles we normally have 2 kinds of conversions, namely Stage 1 and Stage 2. On some of the newer vehicles we only do a Stage 1 as it is more cost effective and better value for money to the customer.  Read more

Diesel Vehicles: Normally there is only one kind of conversion for diesel vehicles, and most of the time, with latest diesel vehicles, most modifications are electronic. We rarely change the exhaust systems on diesel vehicles. Read more
