If you are experiencing problems with your Uni Q, please read through this page.
As we all know, modern electronics are very useful to us these days. But the chances of it going wrong are always there. With the Uni Q we rarely encounter problems, but chances are there.
Firstly make yourself familiar with the Uni Q bridge plug...
The Uni Q cannot lose its memory! Not even if it is disconnected. It uses Flash memory to store your program for your car on it. So if something goes wrong with your Uni Q, the vehicle will typically not start all of a sudden or the engine check light will illuminate. If you have problems with your vehicle and we have fitted a Uni Q, you can by-pass the Uni Q without having to remove the whole harness. This way we can make sure whether the problem lies with the Uni Q, or not, before doing a lot of work, and spending a lot of money.
Now that you are familiar with the Uni Q bridge plug we can guide you through the steps. If you do not have a bridge plug please

or call us so we can guide you through manually bridging the Uni Q, or so we can send you a bridge plug.
Step 1: Locate your Uni Q (if you don’t know where it is

)
Step 2: Push the pin on the Uni Q connector in and pull connector out of Uni Q. It will be tight so try and pull it out as evenly as you can, do not pull on the wires.
Step 3: Connect the bridge plug to the harness connector of the Uni Q. It will only fit one way around.
Step 4: Make sure the bridge plug is not touching the vehicle's body or chassis (ground) or any sort of power supply. You can also just apply some insulation tape to the bridge plug to make sure it is not making any sort of short circuit.
Your vehicle will now run without the Uni Q and will, in most cases, be standard like it was before fitting the Uni Q.
If you have a Q+ version fitted to your vehicle, the same steps apply, but you should have 2 bridge plugs.
